  • good things do come to an end.

good things do come to an end.

as of now, good things means shopping with your eyes and contemplating on the purse.
bad things come when you realised, ficks.. the cash, the credit and whatever is really down to the core.

so far, i'm still in mid-level crisis.
well, if i go on like this, by next week my financials would be in severe crisis!
I was telling myself again and again, I am not going to buy any clothes because the current trend is not timeless. and as far as i'm concerned, i should only buy stuffs that melb's good with and nowhere else makes better than them- and that would be accessories. lastly, i'm only allowed to buy clothes for work.

    okie so,
    Day One- City Stretch.
I bought, a Cue skirt which I convinced myself that it could be for work and play. that sort of grey area thing is never gonna be resolved in a 3-minute decision process. Well, followed by that I bought lingerie (oh my can i categorize this as accessories?!) from myers because it was Myers VIP sales. Love elle macpherson's luxury collection. they shout prestige and sexy all at the same time! and surprisingly 'Lovable' was also stunning to bits! all on 25% off. Finally bought my biker gloves for korea, in fact the tailor-made gloves that I previously custom-made was too fancy for winter. hmmm..

    Day Two- Chadstone.
was totally informed by a very mad shopper-Ireneharvey a week ago about this huge ass sale (considered, since we are missing the massive boxing day sale). so by far, any extra discounts from the normal discounts is a big thing for us now.

Now, after listing what I bought; you should praise me and not say I've overspent. because.. my fellow girlfriends, who i spent most of my chadstone sale days with- szelinlove and ireneharvey hit the $1000 mark and more. and i'm not anywhere close to that. HAHA so i consider myself very resistant!

    1. Cue Royal Blue Pencil Skirt
back to what I bought.. so, I've cashed in for a working skirt which i've been looking for, say for the past two months. surprisingly, Cue Chadstone which is new carries them. so without thinking, I bought it. ITS FOR WORK.

    2. Earrings and Necklace from Sportsgirl
then, I really wanted to get 'loud' and 'over the top' earrings because that's what retailers here are good for! Bought earrings from sportsgirl which i really like but it's a little heavy for my tiny ears! and a statement metal-piece necklace to match clothes without a collar. all for 20% off.

    3. Alannah Hill High-Waisted Belt
then I bought a belt from Alannah Hill.. it's kinda ex even when its on sale. but i've got a thing for belts especially high-waist belts. but i love it. 20% off. Followed by Forever New. how can I ever forget about Forever New. although most of the stuffs which I really liked i've bought them before i flew home for the 10-days break but it seemed like their accessories has increasingly become attractive enough to buy! I bought a fingerless gloves with a bow that comes with rhinestones! 15% off! goodie.

    4. Cotton On Body No-Lines Thongs
not done yet, I bought 2 of my supa-favourite undies from cotton on body. trust me, if you have any garments (dress, skirt, pants etc) that needs a sleek-looking butt, meaning a very smooth and no panty-lines to be seen: then go to cotton on for their two-for-$10 thongs. because their lace-band thongs works for me every single time! cheap and good!

    5. Maxi Dress
i'm getting there.. trust me. hmm then the 3 of us went Bardot where they have 30% on all denim and dresses! given that we are all mad about maxi dresses and there's tonnes in Bardot- we all bought the same maxi dress!! hahaha I guess because that was the nicest of all. I bought a fitted boat neck dress that has interesting-looking sleeves! haha all 30% off.

    I think that's it.

    Day 3- City Stretch

Met up with Victor and Mayyan because we've been saying it since last year that we should have a meal. okie that seriously dragged too long. We had dimsum and i think I talked more than i ate cuz i was so hungry barely an hour after lunch!

mayyan said this was her photogenic side. but it was also mine! so we switched places to complement each other in different pictures! HAHAHAHA. this reminds me of what all girls do right?

    my side. HAHA. hilarious.

well victor doesn't get to choose.
    ~smiles.

Mayyan, I seriously ate my words because today i break my very own rule of no-unnecessary dresses.
as you all know, i've crazy about dresses. this stems from my laziness. can't be bothered to mix and match and all I have to do is make them all-in-one and plus its also easier to pack. this reminds me of another reason why i'm so lazy to travel with two piece outfits because one piece saves space and weights! and after all this hilarious number of flights to and back from melbourne- I can easily spit 100 tips on travelling light and efficient and yet completely maintain well-dressed all times during your trip overseas. test me!

    1. shoes from scooter.
my power mules are from scooter and my classic black-white-chanel combo flats are from scooter. In fact, i've been visiting scooter ever since i first came to melbourne. but i've only bought these from scooter. BUT, again these are my statement shoes and usuals!
hopefully the booties i bought today will also be my statement and usual. haha

I bought a bootie heel with a bow! it's really nice and I kinda don't know what convinced me to get those. I'm a black pump person. I have more than ten pairs of black pumps. Majority in patent and in fact i'm still finding for a suede one and a glitterella in black!

    2. Balmain-inspired dress from Balmain
All my life, i never thought i would even enter gripp jeans. first of all, their mannequins are stick thin and i'm not! second their jeans are commonly worn my stick-thin melburnians. so why would I be interested in any of their clothes when i'm nto stick thin!
although i'm a size 6 but I'm not stick thin!

however what caught my eye today or rather i should start how did I end up there!
ws busy shopping for terry's clothes. 97.82% of his wardrobe is my contribution! 80% of it is from melbourne. so that explains that I need to go serious bulk shopping for old man before I leave melbourne or he's gonna get stuck with what he has now, forever. because he thinks nobody remembers what he wear even when he wears it every week because it's his favourite shirt! (this goes one till one day, when i was looking back at pictures we took, almost all of the pictures was taken with that particular shirt!!!!)

so i went shopping for his short pants since he's into wearing short pants recently.. and realised the short pants are scattered all over the city. as in oldman's size for the pants i've chosen. so practically i was racing with time to get to city and walk like a flying spur to get to spencer street in time! just to get 3 pants! and he could even reply me on the text saying, It's okie because i have nothing to do anyways. ficks. well eventually I got there way before closing hours and I hang around DFO to 'look see look see'. not realising i'm about to spill milk over my tight budget!

passed by gripp, got so attracted to its window display! the first stick-thin mannequin wore a black dress with a mesh see-thru neckline all the way to the breast.. looking so seductive. then the second mannequin wore a v neck dress with two holes on each side of the waist, looking really chic! then the third was a balmain-inspired shoulder pad off shoulder dress with a cut-out on the waist. ouch! made my way in 5 minutes before closing tried all three on and wanted to buy all three but.. I know that is not going to be possible. struggled to decide. finally i set for the off shoulder because i love off shoulders!

they have the same design in hot fuschia pink! love it.

    3. Wall-Deco Sticker Art
Typo is a new concept store under cotton on. It's got some good recycled stuffs and wall decorations. If you've been out observing, recently many places has made sticker art part of a wall-deco. Obviously, before this.. many places use sticker arts for window display. so, say like topshop's front window glass has a big word saying summer dazzling and a big tree and it says sales! they're all stickers. and now many art deco stores used the same method, and sell them in chic designs just so you can put it at home too!

Bought a chandelier and paris' eiffel tower! gonna put it on the wall of my dressing table! ohh feels pariss-y!

    _____________________

This entire week, I've been really busy!
flew back on tuesday morning and immediately got my hands on packing.
my room is 50% empty now.
most of my stuffs are packed, what's left is some clothes that I bought recently and little miscellaneous stuffs that can be easily stuffed in any boxes.
still can't ship my stuffs because that also means my bed will go. and i wont have a bed to sleep till 16th of dec.
so, there's nothing much i can do other than packing everything till it's seriously empty!
I've thrown like 7 bags of rubbish and some clothes that have been kept in the store for like ages. obviously, they're not mind and nobody seemed to claim it all these years! so, it's nothing to fret i just throw it without second thoughts!
a brief scan at the storage was good cuz i actually found terry's 'melbourne university' jacket. haha he's been talking about it for years and seem to think that it's just gone. HAHA had it washed and now it smells pretty good.

tomorrow, I'm meeting yen for breakfast!
afternoon, gonna get my hair fixed one last time by harry! oh no i'm gonna miss youu and also jees i dont know who is going to be next to save my hair!
at night, ireneharvey and I will be going for britney's concert! despite hearing so many bad reviews about it, I'm still looking forward to it. Let's hope she doesn't do the same thing as the previous shows! argh..

saturday, is dinner with justin to celebrate his birthday which i missed! ouch.
sunday, is burlesque show! woohoo! i can't wait i can't wait! finally burlesque show!

next week onwards. it's called hectic week. because i practically have to start doing formal stuffs.
informing the service providers about the termination and getting everything on ready-to-go state!
i was counting the days till 16th and realised i have like 2 and a half weeks. aiks! get real!!
    I better continue with packing!

    love you all!!

not much pictures. sorry cuz i'm so busy doing everything else!

    with love,
    xoxox

"i'll hug you in the cold, just like when we first met alright?"
    yeap. noted.

"buying a ring for yourself is meaningless, i'll get you one"
ouch. that phrase will cost you x arms.

  • fourty-sixth melbourne-associated flight

    fourty-sixth melbourne-associated flight
it's my 23rd flight to melbourne.
also, my last flight to melbourne, at least in this short period of time.

    23rd of November,
terry and I is cherishing our 4th-Year-&-11th-Month Anniversary.
on dec23rd we will be sharing our 5th year together!

also, Happy Birthday to my very honourable melbiebuddy- Justin Liew!
thanks for all the fridays that was so difficult to get over with!
thanks for movie on fridays which soon became our regular spot!
thanks for snacking with me while i'm trying to enjoy the ultimate moviedate!
    you've beeeeen wonderful, justin!!

having no luggage to pack, is so relaxing.
first of all, most of the time i'm busy throwing clothes on the floor and grabbing all my accessories and abit of this and that of extras just so my maid can strategically arrange my stuffs to fit into my luggage.

my family calls me a nomad. because I practically have this fixed portion of stuffs that i never unpack just so i'm ready to go. and because they're so important i couldn't risk unpacking them too. hahaha such contact lens, skincare, my watch, jewellery etc.

this time, i don't have my luggage with me but two huge sports bag that i filled clothes with for the trip back here. so i'm practically travelling with my notebook, my cabin luggage and my bag. how relaxing. in fact i kinda think border security will stop me. because i'm travelling with clothes less than the days i'm going to be around. [ i watch border security every monday 7pm ]. haha

packing. packing. packing is the only word i can say about my trip back to melbourne.
there's going to be hell lot of packing to do and terminating the services and switching my post box facilities and whatever. hell lot.

and this week is the ultimate blasting week. because i'm watching britney spears this friday and followed by the Last Burlesque Show for the year in melbourne by Ruby Revue. woohooo. wednesday, irene and I will be going for ultimate Chadstone slashing sale shopping. (well not exactly slashing, but given that both of us wont be around for boxing day.. i guess this is the furthest we can get)!

alot has been happening at home, mostly good. such an opposite to before I was back. however everything's been really nice and smooth. everybody has been asking me about work, where i'm gonna work and all but it's kinda sick when you really dont have your results and you can't seem to do anything about it. so stop ASKING ME! you're kinda ruining my holiday given that i've only seriously finished my exam last two weeks or less. give me a bloody break from 5 years of uni.

right, i should get going and wash up. it's 11:20am and i'm still in bed. how lucky and nice to be home!

    with love
    xoxox

    "happy anniversary to you too!"

  • home, is too good to be true.

home, is too good to be true.
    ma maison.

being back home, is all about being overwhelmed and loved.

this weekend big and I had to quite some stuffs since this is the last time i'm back before our korea trip this year end. Had to prepare bigman for seoul and went searching for some thermal clothing and see if there's any nice bomber jacket around since everywhere is winter collection.
good to know, malaysia's retail still believe in selling bomber jackets. the merchandisers used to stock one or two piece max, well 5 years back.

    godpa hidind under the shades!

also, i've never been to so many car showrooms in one weekend. the best part is, it's only one make.
bigman has been contemplating about changing his car and we've been to the city and town to test drive, to get the best price and all sort that now i can practically name what's the diff between bla bla and what sort.

what i love about it, or rather what i just discovered is.. bigman is starting to resemble more and more like my pap, which again reminds me of why girls always fall in love with their dad. cuz when pap is so troubled by what he wants to get, every showroom knows him and the sales are all afraid of him because he test drives like a racer! okie this kinda tell you that don't buy a non-zero mileage demo car. You'd have to wear your seatbelts and sit still and hold onto the seats because pap emergency-brakes without telling you when he drives like 160km/h, and he tells you that he just wants to know how good it is. mich and I have seen so many feared faces of car salesmen! and mr. sin does not layan salesgirl but only salesman. HAHA.

terry and mich wandering while two men are paying full attention on their compasses.

okie but anyways, bigman has made his choice haha and i can't believe the moment we stepped out of the last showroom we visited today, the salesman said to me 'you looked upset he didn't confirm it today..'. i almost died. the fact is we have our own preferred dealer and we're here to just test drive. and it gets me thinking, maybe he's doing the 'reverse psychology' thing on me. and he's like on a guessing game the whole time he's attending us. first he thought we are newly married. then second and the worst was, he thought my 'husband' was buying the car for me. so you could imagine how did the entire sales introduction went like.

"this car is quite good for leisure and comfort driving and ladies then to like the luxury look of it"
erm.. being that bigman is a man and the car that he is so-close to buying, is being marketed that way by a salesMAN hahaha. so obviously, we did not commit a deal!

mich and myself, sweating in the sunny weather!

met up with chuan and henri in the weekend too. it's been so long since chuan, terry, henri and I really sat down and talked so much and like had second round after dinner! there's jsut hell lot to share and talked about. Chuan, i can't wait for you to comeeeeee! and you know love, after dinner terry is so happy that he just cant stop talking about happy stuffs, such as what we should do in the weekends when im back for good, say take up sports and go look around at new developments and launching during the weekend rather than shopping, massage, napping and movies like how we used to since its because we know we are seeing each other for the next one or two months and getting stucked together is the only way to really maximize our time together. but now that i'm back for good, he thinks we should start getting into making our weekends a more productive and efficient one.

ben asked if I could take a picture of him and his wife. it was so awkward to hear so. HAHA

other than being a BIGweekend, family sunday is inevitable and we spent our sunday looking at parcels of land around my area. ben, my brother-in-law who happens to be a real estate agent as well brought all of us including my godpa, terry, mom, mich, pap and I for a strolll at our neighbourhood. well for me its all about spenind quiality family time. haha my godpa and dad is busy monitoring the compass to see what direction is it and whether the energy is good for them haha while my mom can't be bothered. she's just busy looking at other houses and thinking how should the land be utilized. well myself and mich is under shades taking pictures and commenting on other ppl's houses and their layout and terry is loitering nearby haha surveying the sounds and the golf view.

mom can't be bothered about the directions that she's just hopping around doing her thing!

anyhow sunday ended really nice but sadly, it also means bigman has to be back in johore again. yet it's another month exactly before i see him again cuz i'm going back next monday and this weekend we are not seeing each other. ouch.

terry and myself on a sunday land-hunting!

flying to sgp this coming wednesday till friday but hopefully i can go on tuesday so that i can spend a night with small friend! wheee~ but shall decide that tomorrow!

tomorrow i'm going for a sample viewing for the shots taken by ever after during my sept holidays. hopefully it's gonna be good :o)

tuesday lunch with junelove, can't wait to spill junk and hot bits and pieces with her!

    with love,
    xoxox
